Jeremy, This is a pretty straight forward swap. You will need a bellhousing, Manual flywheel, the metal plate between bellhousing and block from FE will also be needed along with a pilot bushing for a FE series engine, the clutch you have may work depending on which engine its from. You did not specify which trans you had as there were a few different ones for big block 390 & another for small blocks (the input shaft length is diff ) there was also a big in big out toploader used on the 428/427/429 engines. Most of your clutch linkage will fit from the mustang except for the part that bolts to the bellhousing, this must be from a 390/428 Intermediate ford/merc from 66-69 along with the Mustang 390/428 from 67-69. Your pedals etc will be the same. what engine/trans do you have? |
