Thanks for the info. My 65 Galaxie is the c4 cruise-a-matic and would love to do the change over to a toploader, I have all the pieces, EXCEPT the toploader itself. Everything I have seen around here has been unreasonable or junk or a combination of both :o). I was wondering what it would take to do the 5 speed as they are available and relatively reasonable. If it will bolt up to an FE bellhousing and the spacing and snout are the same?????? Then there is the mounting points to consider.
Just ruminating,perhaps I will stay in the toploader hunt, but wouldn't a 5 speed sound great being backed up to a healthy FE.
I would appreciate any leads on 65 and/or 66 XL interiors, preferably red!!!!!! But would consider any and all,whole or pieces, esp convertible interiors. |
