There was a thread on one of the other forums about this. You should read it. I was going to post the link, but the messages aren't showing up. Maybe the network54 server is down. :-(

What it boiled down to is this...

1. The Tremec TKO has a toploader bolt pattern, so it'll bolt right up.
2. It has a Chevy-size input shaft, so you'll need to buy a Chevy clutch disc.
3. The input shaft is longer than a toploader (I think 3/8"), so you'll either have to have a machine shop cut the input shaft or buy a spacer made by McLeod. I've even heard of people cutting the pilot bushing, but the best solution is to cut the input shaft. The spacer fits between the tranny and the bellhousing.
4. The TKO II is stronger than the TKO, but not by much. I think the external dimensions are identical. I like the TKO 'cause it has a better 5th gear ratio.
5. The output shaft is the same size as a C-6 (or a big output toploader). I think they come with the driveshaft yoke.
6. There were some discussions about strength. Yes, the Richmond Gear is stronger, but the TKO is strong enough. The TKO regularly lives behind 700 HP engines w/out failures.
7. You may have to custom fab your crossmember.
8. You may have to custom fab your speedometer cable. I think the Tremec uses a GM style gear.
9. The Richmond Gear doesn't come with a shifter, whereas the Tremec does, so you've got to factor that in to the price.
10. That's about all I've got to say about that.
